According to Leybin, the Russkiy Reporter has requested Wikileaks for materials related to Russia and its neighbouring countries. "We are receiving the materials in the original, in English. We shall translate them ourselves for publication in Russian," he said.

Among the materials being received, there are diplomatic dispatches, including from the US embassy in Moscow.

Leybin said that the Russkiy Reporter had already published the first batch of materials received from Wikileaks on its website.

Georgia CountrysideAmong the published materials, there are excerpts from messages related to the August 2008 events in the Caucasus. "Generally speaking, the reading of reports by the US ambassadors in Georgia, NATO, the European Union, and Moscow leaves the impression that no-one in the world had any illusions that the war was started by (Georgian President Mikheil) Saakashvili, not even Poland and the Baltic States, although the official rhetoric differed from that understanding," the article on the magazine's website, based on Wikileaks materials, says.
