The screening of the documentary THE DESERT OF FORBIDDEN ART at the National Gallery on October 17, 2010 will be dedicated to Sarah Carey, Chair of the Eurasia Foundation's Board of Trustees from 1994 - 2010. Sarah Carey initiated the EF project on grassroots reformers in the former Soviet Union that inspired Producer and Director Amanda Pope, together with colleague Tchavdar Georgiev, to tell the story of painter Igor Savitsky and his immense collection.
