Subject: Eurasia Foundation Elects New Chairman and Vice Chairman

The Eurasia Foundation (EF) elected two of its long term members on September 10, 2010 to assume senior positions on its Board of Trustees. Please join us in welcoming new Chairman Jan H. Kalicki, Counselor for International Strategy at Chevron Corporation and Senior Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, and new Vice Chairman Daniel A. Witt, President of the International Tax and Investment Center, to the board. Both Mr. Kalicki and Mr. Witt have noteworthy international experience.

The Foundation, based in Washington D.C., is a public-private partnership, operating with the support of a board of private citizens. Since its origin in 1992, the EF has invested more than $400 million through more than 8,400 grants and operating programs in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. In 2004, the Foundation created four autonomous foundations in the region, able to address local needs and cross-border issues.
