Status of foreign NGOs in Russia to remain unchanged - Lavrov

MOSCOW, December 20 (RIA Novosti) - Upcoming amendments to the Russian legislation will not change the status of foreign non-governmental organizations in Russia, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.

He told his Czech counterpart, Cyril Svoboda, that foreign non-governmental organizations should ensure "bring their activities into compliance with their stated goals," according to Russian laws and ensure financial transparency.
