IN JANUARY-AUGUST REAL DISPENSABLE POPULATION INCOMES UP BY 9.2 PERCENT - STATISTICAL SERVICE

MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti) - The real dispensable monetary incomes (incomes minus obligatory payments adjusted for the consumer price index) of Russia's population increased by 7 percent in August 2004 and by 9.2 percent in January-August 2004 in comparison with the corresponding period in 2003.

This is said in the report of Russia's Federal State Statistical Service, which has come to hand at RIA Novosti.

In 2004 August real dispensable monetary incomes subsided by 1.9 percent from June 2004.

The average calculated wage in August 2004 was, in preliminary estimate, 6,900 roubles (1 dollar equals 29.22 roubles), increasing by 24.5 percent from August 2003.

In August 2004 the average per-capita monetary incomes of the population were 6,062 roubles, increasing by 20.3 percent from August 2003 and subsiding by 2.3 percent from July 2004. In January-August 2004 in comparison with the same period in 2003 the average monetary incomes were 21.7 percent up.
