U.S. is ready to discuss proposal on using Gabala radar as part of global missile shield - U.S. ambassador
MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Washington is ready to consider a Russian proposal on using Gabala and Armavir radars as part of a global missile defense system, U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Beyrle said. The U.S. is ready to consider these options, he said. Naturally this will be rather a lengthy process, he told Ekho Moskvy Radio on Monday.
When the U.S. begins to discuss the possible construction of a global missile defense system, it would be inadvisable to fail to take into consideration such possible components as Gabala and Armavir, he said.
