NOVO-OGARYOVO. April 3 (Interfax) - Reports of plans to establish a National Guard in Russia are untrue, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to the Russian prime minister.
"This is absolutely untrue. This is out of the question," he told reporters on Monday.
That was his comment on media reports of plans to create a National Guard in Russia.
He reminded journalists that Russia has been reforming its Armed Forces and law enforcement for several years.
Peskov denied claims that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin "plans to set up some new type of specials services for himself."
