Presidential Human Rights Council to Conduct Evaluation of Khodorkovsky Case
MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - The presidential human rights council will conduct an evaluation of the Mikhail Khodorkovsky case after the sentence goes into effect, and a separate decision on the case involving Hermitage Capital lawyer Sergei Magnitsky may be made in the nearest future.
"As for the sentence imposed on Khodorkovsky, the expert council can only make decisions on it after it takes legal force," the council's chairman Mikhail Fedotov told Interfax on Tuesday.
"The formation of the expert council on the Khodorkovsky case has already begun, The names of the experts will not be made public to avoid a premature leakage of information," Fedotov said.
"A decision on the Magnitsky case will be made in the nearest future," he said.
