Kremlin opens new Twitter blog for President Medvedev
MOSCOW, November 29 (RIA Novosti)-An official blog for Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has been launched on the social networking service Twitter, the Kremlin said on Monday.
The new KremlinRussia blog (KremlinRussiaE in English) will post reports, announcements and press releases covering official activities of the Russian president.
The technologically savvy Russian leader registered on Twitter in June during his visit to the United States. More than 127,000 people are currently following him on Twitter. The English version has more than 54,000 followers.
Last week, Medvedev renamed his popular account on Twitter to make it more informal. The account's new name is MedvedevRussia (MedvedevRussiaE is the English version).
In his personal Twitter blog, Medvedev shares his views of events in Russia and abroad, posts photographs taken by him, and responds to questions asked by other Twitter users.
