Legislators' Income Statements Reveal Wealth

United Russia's Grigory Anikeyev ranked as the best-earning State Duma deputy after the legislature published income statements by its members Saturday.

Anikeyev, who sits on the Property Committee, stated his income rose to 2.7 billion rubles ($92 million) last year.
Zubitsky's income dropped to 677 million rubles last year from 1.9 billion the year before.
Neither could be reached for comment Sunday.
Since first joining the dominant United Russia faction in the previous Duma in 2007, Anikeyev has sponsored one bill that became law - an amendment that specifies the deduction of insurance payments from the payroll.
Anikeyev, whose company is called Anikeyev Biznes Invest Group, said in the statement that he partially owns roads, sewage systems and electric grids among other assets.
His other holdings are portions of a few buildings, a house, a couple land plots, three apartments and four cars.
The second-biggest income went to United Russia Deputy Nikolai Bortsov, who said he earned 1.3 billion rubles. The founder of juicemaker Lebedyansky, which he sold to PepsiCo, sits on the Agrarian Committee. He owns a tractor, two cars and some real estate, such as four land plots and two houses.
His spouse is also well-heeled. She reported an income of 148 million rubles and ownership of yet more houses, land plots and apartments.
State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin earned 5.1 million rubles last year. He has a land plot of 2,500 square meters, a house of 127 square meters and an apartment of 224 square meters.
His wife earned 1.1 million rubles. She has a small land plot, a fourth of an apartment of 139 square meters and an entire apartment of 167 square meters.
Among the Communist lawmakers, the biggest earnings went to Alexander Nekrasov, a construction director at a St. Petersburg company called Lider. He stated an income of 401 million rubles.
He is also one of the two Duma deputies that own helicopters. His is a Eurocopter EC120 Colibri, a five-seat chopper.
The other helicopter, a Robinson R-44, is the property of United Russia's Vladimir Konov.
A Just Russia Deputy Sergei Petrov, the founder and beneficiary of car dealership Rolf, the country's second-largest by sales, earned 438 million rubles, a leap from 84 million the year before. Vedomosti described him as the richest member of the Just Russia faction.
United Russia's Mikhail Slipenchuk, owner of the Metropol investment company, had a more successful year, reporting 897 million rubles in income, up from 274 million the previous year. He also reported an apartment in France and two houses and two land plots in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
His Russian land holdings are more imposing: 144 land plots.
United Russia's Vyacheslav Lysakov reported the lowest income: 92,000 rubles. His wife was a bit better off, with 310,000 rubles.
