The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and the Woodrow Wilson Center's Kennan Institute present an International Conference on:

"Commercial Law Reform in Russia and Eurasia"

The conference brings together leading legal experts from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the United States, Canada, and Europe to assess the extent to which the legal infrastructure needed for a competitive market economy has been established and what future regulatory and legal reforms and policies are necessary.

This conference is held in honor of Peter Maggs, Professor of Law and Clifford M. and Bette A. Carney Chair in Law, University of Illinois at Urbana­Champaign, for his contribution to the field of legal reform in Russia and other former Soviet nations.
