Russian ever more attractive to foreign capital - Putin

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russia is becoming more and more attractive to foreign investors, President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

"Our country is becoming increasingly attractive both to business initiatives and for living," Putin said at a Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs meeting in Moscow.

"Russia is becoming a place that draws capital, people and specialists from CIS countries and other countries around the world," Putin said. "But such capital should be continually accumulating in Russia to help increase the revenues created by its people and the Russian people in general," he said.

Russian entrepreneurs want to see a favorable social foundation for their activities, the president said.

"An [entrepreneurship] has to develop properly, strongly and for a long time in a modern country," Putin said.
