Number of Internet users in Russia reaches 10.2 million in April

MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - In April 2003, the number of Internet users in Russia reached 10.2 million (a 2.7% increase from March), which is 9.1% of Russia's population. This information was provided by the companies SpyLOG and J'son & Partners.

In Moscow and the Moscow region, 44% use the Internet, in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region - 10%, and in other regions 3% or less, SpyLOG told Interfax.

The research showed that 50% of the Internet users access Internet from their home and the other 50% do it from work and public Internet stations.
