Russia's Gorbachev is not in need of serious medical
treatment
Interfax
Moscow, 28 November: Former Soviet president and leader of the Russian Social-Democratic Party Mikhail Gorbachev will have to stay at the Central Clinical Hospital until the end of this week, a source close to Gorbachev told Interfax.
Gorbachev was admitted to the Central Clinical Hospital on Monday for a checkup and a course of preventative treatment, the source said.
He also said that the course of treatment is proceeding according to plan. He categorically denied reports that Gorbachev is in need of serious medical treatment.
"No changes have been made in Gorbachev's schedule. In principle, no events figured in his working plan this week, so the pause was devoted to his health," the source said.
