Solzhenitsyn website to be launched Thursday
MOSCOW. Dec 11 (Interfax) - The late Alexander Solzhenitsyn's official website will be presented in Moscow on Thursday, on the 90th anniversary of his birth, Natalya Solzhenitsyn, the author's widow, told Interfax.
"The main purpose of this website is to post the so-called standard texts on it. In addition, it will publish personal documents, which exist in printed and facsimile forms, a large photo archive, and a lot more," Natalya Solzhenitsyn said.
She said she would try to publish all Solzhenitsyn's works on the website.
The widow also suggested that the Federal Security Service (FSB) would part with the documents that were attached to the criminal case against Capt. Solzhenitsyn when he was arrested in February 1945. "The matter involves personal possessions that were on him at the moment of his arrest. Considering that Capt. Solzhenitsyn later became a prominent writer, his personal belongings, notebooks, photos - all this represents educational value for museums," she said.
