MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Some 400 international observers will be invited to monitor the Russian presidential election, Central Elections Commission Secretary Nikolai Konkin said.

"Some 400 international observers will be invited to monitor the Russian presidential election. The list of international organizations to be invited mirrors the list of the organizations that were invited to the 5th State Duma elections, including OSCE ODIHR [Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights]," Konkin told journalists on Thursday.
