Russians not ready to proclaim Putin 'father of the nation' - poll
MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The majority of Russians are opposed to the idea of proclaiming President Vladimir Putin "father of the nation," a poll of 1,600 respondents in 128 communities in 46 Russian regions conducted by the Levada Center on November 9 - 13 found.
"Today the idea of making Putin the 'father of the nation' does not find support," head of the Levada Center's socio-political studies department Boris Dubin told a news conference at Interfax.
