ANNOUNCEMENT.Questions are now being taken for the Direct Line with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will take place on October 18 at midday Moscow time.

Mr Putin will answer questions from the public in a live broadcast on television channels Rossia, Channel One and news channel Vesti, and on the Mayak and Radio Russia radio stations.

Questions can be sent starting midday on October 14:

- by Internet - to the Direct Line site http://www.president-line.ru;

- by telephone from anywhere in Russia - 8 (dial tone) 800-200-40-40, calls from fixed line and mobile phones are free;

- by telephone from abroad - +7(495)645-10-10, calls from abroad are toll calls.

Questions can be sent by SMS to the number 0-40-40 starting on October 18 at 6.00 Moscow time. SMS messages can be sent from anywhere in Russia and through any operator for free. SMS questions must be in Russian and contain no more than 70 characters.
