MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov signed a document defining the exact duties of his five deputy prime ministers on Friday, the Russian government's press office said.

According to the document, First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov will coordinate the activities of executive bodies charged with developing industry, transport, communications, and science. He is also charged with monitoring the development programs of the defense, nuclear and space industries, and with supervising the state program of arms and defense modernization.

He is responsible for ensuring national security and law-enforcement, as well as managing the state's financial reserves.

First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will coordinate activities in the implementation of priority national projects, and the carrying out of state policies in education, health care, social security, housing and agricultural development.

He is also charged with demographic and migration policy, media, the management of natural resources and environmental issues, as well as legal and youth policy.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov is responsible for the social and economic development of Russia's regions, including the planning of federal regional development programs and providing state support from the investment fund.

He is also to coordinate work in housing, architecture, public utilities, the managing of federal property, statistics, and sports, including the preparations for the Sochi-2014 Winter Olympics.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Kudrin, who is also the finance minister, will be engaged in shaping the direction of Russian social and economic development, pursuing a single state financial, credit, tax and monetary policy, managing the state debt and Russian financial assets, and drafting the federal budget.

He will also be responsible for ensuring a single economic space, anti-trust policy, competitiveness, state tariff and audit policy, as well as a state policy towards natural monopolies and insurance.

Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Naryshkin will be in charge of foreign trade, economic integration, international relations, the administrative reform, and the development of culture and tourism and emergency issues.
