Moscow expects clear response to Gabala radar offer - Kislyak

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Russia would like to receive a clear response to its offer to use the Gabala radar jointly with the United States, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak said.

"We would like to be given coherent answers on whether our partners are prepared to work seriously on this basis. We have yet to receive the answers," Kislyak said at a news conference in Moscow.

Only a few public statements have been made thus far to the effect that the missile defense system will continue developing "no matter what happens," he said.

"Hopefully, we'll hear a more detailed and clear response to the Russian president's proposal in our further contacts," Kislyak said.
