Medvedev Warns Officials Uninterested In National Projects Will Be Punished
MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - High-ranking federal officials who fail to contribute to the work of interdepartmental working groups on the implementation of national projects will be punished, First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the presidium of the council on the implementation of national projects.
"The work of the interdepartmental working groups should be improved drastically," Medvedev said.
"Some high-ranking officials appointed by the president miss meetings without reasonable excuses," the first deputy prime minister said.
Moreover, Medvedev promised to dismiss officials who shun work related to the implementation of national projects. "We do not need dead souls," Medvedev said.
